    1. In addition to the server log files mentioned above, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored locally in your browser's cache. The text file cannot damage your end device and is not used to identify you personally. Cookies can be set directly by us (First Party Cookies) or by third parties (Third Party Cookies) with whom we work. A cookie enables the processing body to recognize that you have already visited the website with the browser on your end device.
    2. Cookies are set for different purposes. If the cookies are purely technically necessary, we base the data processing by the cookie on Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter b GDPR in order to be able to offer you our services. 5. Reach measurement with Matomo | WEBSITE ANALYSIS

    1. We use the Matomo service for website analysis. Matomo is a service of InnoCraft Ltd., 150 Willis St., 6011 Wellington, New Zealand (“Matomo” for short).
    2. Matomo stores the following data when you visit our website: your browser (incl. version), the operating system of your device, date and time of the visit, website/subpage accessed, duration and frequency of use, the website from which you accessed our site arrived (referrer) and the country from which the call is made. The IP address is stored anonymously by shortening the IP address. It is therefore not possible to assign the shortened IP address to the calling end device.
    3. In order to optimally protect your personal data, we do not use Matomo in the cloud solution, but work with the open source software locally on our own server. In this way, we prevent the data from being passed on to third parties and only carry out the evaluation ourselves.
    4. Matomo sets a cookie for statistical analysis. Cookies are small text files that are stored locally in your browser's cache. The text file cannot damage your end device and is not used to identify you personally. The cookie is stored for a period of one week.
    5. The processing of your data in connection with Matomo takes place in accordance with Article 6 Paragraph 1 Clause 1 Letter f GDPR due to our legitimate interest in measuring the range and statistical analysis to improve our website and our service.

6. Google Maps | GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

    1. We have included maps on our website to better illustrate our trails. Due to the comprehensive functions, we prefer the maps provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States of America ("Google Maps"). Google is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield Agreement, which ensures a level of data protection for US companies that is close to the EU standard.
    2. We integrate the maps from the Google Maps service in such a way that you receive the maps directly from Google. In this way, the maps are always up-to-date and can be loaded quickly. However, this means that your IP address is necessarily transmitted to Google so that the map can be technically displayed to you. Since the IP address is legally considered personal data, data is processed by Google. The IP address itself does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about you as a person. The IP address is transmitted regardless of whether you have a user account with Google or are currently logged in there. It is possible that Google will combine the information that you are on our website with other information, especially if you are logged into your Google account at the same time. We have no influence on data processing by Google.
    3. We base the integration of Google Maps and the associated data processing by Google on our legitimate interest in accordance with Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR / your consent in accordance with Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

7. Newsletter

    1. To send our newsletter, we use the mailing service provider "Mail-Chimp" from the Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. The company is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement between the European Union and the United States. In addition, we have agreed EU standard contractual clauses with Rocket Science Group LLC to secure our customers' data.
    2. Subscribing to our newsletter is voluntary. It is sent to the e-mail address provided by the user. The newsletter can be canceled at any time.
    3. In order to constantly improve our newsletter, we collect data about the views and clicks within our newsletter. This tells us whether our newsletter is of interest to our subscribers. We do not collect any further data on the use of our newsletter.
    4. The dispatch of the newsletter and the specific use of "MailChimp" as a dispatch service provider are based on the user's consent in accordance with Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR.
